What is Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer 2019 Believe Walk?
The "Believe Walk" has grown from 1500 participants the first year to over 12,000 in 2018. Each year has seen an increase of participation and fundraising efforts by this community. The commitment of the community to fundraise has made it possible for Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer to make contributions to the Loma Linda Cancer Resource Center, St. Bernardine Medical Center "Imaging Center", Redlands Community Hospital and Michelle's Place. These are a few of the organizations that have been impacted by the generosity of the City of Redlands, dedicated Sponsors and the local communities. Their commitment has enhanced the support and care for so many cancer patients and their families here in the Inland Empire. To date as a result of the Believe Walk $5.1 million has been donated in the fight against cancer in the communinities that Stater Bros. Markets proudly serves.
Why am I walking in the 5k Believe Walk?
Cancer has had a direct impact on me and my family. I lost my father in law, Richard Bihlmaier to lung cancer in 1993 at the age of 56, five short years later in 1998 my father Dale Plein passed away from esophageal cancer at the age of 72 and in 2012 I lost my brother Tim Plein to lung cancer at the age of 58. Cancer affects all of us, it has no discrimination regarding economic class, race, age or sex. I want to do my part to help eliminate this disease by helping raise funds to make life better for any person or family that is having to enduring all of the challenges that come with this disease.
That is why I have joined the efforts of thousands in my community to support the Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer's 2019 Believe Walk!
Why join/support me?
By donating you will be a part of a life-changing event that brings together a community with one purpose; to support cancer survivors, those who are still in treatment and their families that live right here in our community- the Inland Empire. Please join me in wiping out this terrible disease.
"I Believe" we can make a difference, won't you Believe with me?
Thanks for you support Brian
